Wrong locationCons:I was unable to get the vehicle with Avis. When I submitted the search on your site, I entered SeaTac in the search criteria before selecting Avis. However, the Avis location where my reservation was ended up being in downtown Seattle. I was left with no vehicle for my family and luggage at the airport and had to make a last minute purchase with Hertz instead. I ended up paying nearly twice as much as my original reservation and left the airport hours later, since it was last minute and Avis and most other vendors were out of cars.Reviewed Aug 17 2018

poor serviceCons:I showed up at 5:10 at the downtown Seattle rental office, which I didn't realize closed at 5:00. The door was locked and the clerk shook his head "no". I called Avis to see if we could instead pick up a car at the airport. They said, yes, but the price was now almost double what they quoted. I said I would then prefer to pick up the car the next morning when the downtown office opened. The representative said there would no longer be a car at that location. I was told the pick up was at sea tac it was not had to go to SeattlePros:NothingCons:It cost me $ 50 to take a cab to Seattle and go an hour out of my way. I will never use this service again I had only 2 days to spend with my grandkids. Horrible to be given the wrong info especially when I. Allied ahead to make sure the 5th street location was at the airport. I was told at Sea Tac I could not get a car there it would be $100 per day and only a convertable or truck would be available. Good car - I thought the insurance portion was a scam!Pros:Easy to find car, good rate, overall I was very happy!Cons:I assume the insurance was from Avis and not through a third party or Kayak, If I had needed to use the insurance, it seemed cumbersome and not just a drop off at Avis and they would take care of it. I will never use this insurance from Kayak again and I found the practice on how you sell it very misleading. Because of this - I may not ever use Kayak again.Reviewed Jun 3 2018
